Every young performer starts somewhere. At our Matthews area studio, we’ve created a musical theatre pathway that gives students a place to begin, skills to build, and opportunities to grow as they are ready for more. And it’s not just about singing, acting, and dancing. Each class is thoughtfully designed to help students grow in confidence and character. From our youngest performers in Mini Stars class to our SHINE Company performance troupe, there’s a place for kids from age 4 through the teen years.
Our Musical Theatre Pathway isn’t one-size-fits-all. At CAA, students can choose the classes, productions, and training opportunities that fit their goals, interests, and family’s schedule. There’s no requirement to take classes year-round, or even a certain number of hours per week, to participate in our musical productions.
Think of our program as à la carte musical theatre training. A student might take Shining Stars in the fall and Dance for Musical Theatre in the spring. Another might pair Rising Stars with private voice lessons, while a student with a busy fall sports season may choose to participate in a spring musical theatre production or acting workshops.
