Kirsten Beach Whiteley

Voice, Acting & Musical Theatre Teacher

From growing up around the coast of North Carolina to studying in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Kirsten Beach Whiteley is a vocalist, actress, and active performer whose heart belongs to NC. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Western Carolina University with honors and a BFA in Musical Theatre, Kirsten has shared her talents through teaching and performing. Two residencies with The REP Theatre in Seaside, Florida and years of Voice and Acting coaching with SuperbaVox Academy led her to join the faculty of Charlotte Academy of the Arts with tons of excitement.

Trained in everything from on-camera acting, Shakespeare, Commedia dell’Arte, long and short form Improv, Opera, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Musical Theatre styles and more, Kirsten hopes to help students with an individualized, goal focused approach that will lead to safe, sustainable, and superior performances.

Kirsten offers individualized voice lessons, specialized musical theatre training based on current performance practices, acting and audition coaching, voice over training, musical theatre masterclasses, and college audition prep.

A: Practice the way you want to perform.

A: Summer! I love the heat!

Q: What’s your hidden talent?

A: I'm a great gift giver (ex. I built my husband an escape room in our house for Christmas, and I'm making a gameshow for my cousin's birthday!)

A: Dogs (mine are named after musical terms!)
