This fall, our story leads to one magical night. Charlotte Academy of the Arts is thrilled to announce our Fall Revue, Once Upon a Musical. This revue is built around a storybook theme, celebrating the fairytales and beloved books that made us fall in love with storytelling. From chocolate factories to the world under the sea, from Jazz Age parties to the land of Oz, to a certain swamp far, far away. This is one evening where every beloved tale gets its moment in the spotlight.

Who’s Taking the Stage

Once Upon a Musical brings together performers from across our CAA family this November, and that’s what makes it so special. In one show, you’ll see singers, dancers, and triple threats sharing the same spotlight bringing to life music from Willy Wonka, The Great Gatsby, Wicked, Shrek, and The Little Mermaid.

A Storybook Evening for the Whole Family

Whether your favorite tale involves a millionaire who throws the grandest parties, a voice from beneath the waves, a golden ticket, a green girl who defies expectations, or an ogre with a heart of gold, there’s a chapter of this revue written for you. And behind every number is the hard work, growth, and confidence built by young performers.

And that’s the real story here. Each performance opportunity is another chapter in a student’s growth, building the confidence, skills, and stage presence that stay with them long after the curtain falls.
