Academy families, staff, and teachers have been supporting our community for many years through clothing, food, and school supply drives. We’ve also volunteered together in the community, as well as performed and made valentines for nursing home and assisted living residents. Our outreach program was formerly known as CAM Cares.
Now that we are no longer CAM, but CAA, we have a new name for our community outreach program as well… Arts with Heart.
Our first Arts with Heart project is a School Supply Drive partnering with Classroom Central. Together with your help we hope to assist many students and classrooms throughout the Charlotte area! We will accept donated supplies between July 19, 2026 and August 14, 2026. Please place your donated school supplies in the designated bin found in our lobby.

We support Classroom Central’s belief that every child deserves a level educational playing field. Through supporting teachers and students in need, Classroom Central ensures that every class has the resources needed. Their innovative programs empower educators and students in 227 schools across six Charlotte-region districts; CMS, Gaston County, Iredell-Statesville, Union County, City of Kannapolis, and Lancaster County, South Carolina.
