No two students learn the same way, so there’s no “one size fits all” teaching here! From the very first lesson, we take the time to get to know your child — their learning style, their musical interests, and what success looks like for them. Then we build an individualized path to help them get there.

Our faculty includes working musicians and passionate educators who trained at top conservatories and universities. They’ve performed on major stages, recorded albums, and helped students earn college scholarships, land dream roles, and win competitions. Most importantly they love teaching, and know how to teach in a way that is both encouraging and effective. Every instructor has their own specialties and teaching strengths, which means when you enroll, we don’t just assign you a teacher — we find the right one. Someone whose background, experience, and teaching style fits where the student is today and where they want to go from there.

One of the biggest challenges in music education isn’t learning the notes — it’s staying motivated long enough to fall in love with it. We’ve invested many years figuring out what keeps students engaged, and it comes down to two things: excellent teaching and a genuine sense of belonging.
CAA students don’t just take lessons. They become part of a community. Through seasonal recitals, the NFMC Festival, Fall and Spring Musical Revues, Musical Theatre productions, summer camps, and special events throughout the year, there’s always something meaningful to work toward and a real stage to perform on.
And it goes beyond music. CAA students and teachers show up for their community through coat drives, food drives, school supply collections, and handmaking valentines for nursing home residents — the kinds of experiences that shape who a child becomes. We believe the arts teach empathy, and we try to live that out in everything we do.

Flexible Lessons that Fit Your Life
Conveniently located off I-485, we’re an easy drive for families throughout the greater Charlotte area, located on the border between Mecklenburg and Union counties. We proudly serve students from Matthews, Mint Hill, Ballantyne, Weddington, Stallings, Harrisburg, Indian Trail, and surrounding communities.
We offer 30, 45, and 60 minute private lessons, so whether you’re a beginner or an advanced musician, there’s a format that fits your goals and your schedule. Lessons are available Monday through Saturday, with morning, after school, and evening slots to fit busy family life.
